A HISTORY OF ACTIVITY...
Over the past few years, I have experienced an increasing amount of activity in my home... ranging from unexplained noises, voice phenomena, full body apparitions, shadow figures, and objects moving. From the evidence that I have been able to collect, I think that there are three main spirits that reside at my property: a male presence "Edward", a female presence "Dora", and a child spirit "Alice". Due to the frequency of these events, my only next logical step was to research the area’s local history. I have found out that my house was built on an old smallpox field hospital site. Jimmylondon also has found out that there was a smallpox epidemic during the 1868-1869 years in the west midlands. One of the most recognisable figures of this era was a nurse named Dorothy Wyndslow Pattison... also known as "Sister Dora". Her legacy remains to this day as being an absolute martyr to her cause of helping and caring for the smallpox victims and the poor. The next bit of evidence was found by Mark (Englishbloke) about a caretaker at the hospital named Edward Pace. Is this “Edward” the same man that resides here at the house today? As for "Alice", we have both researched and have not been able to find anything out about her. Alice could be one of the nearly 400 children that had died at the hospital during the epidemic?
