EVP History...
EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) Is the means of gathering voices from an unknown paranormal source onto an audio device. These
"disembodied voices" are often only heard on playback of the recording. The cause of these voices are yet unkown but seems to have an itelligence and are capable of responding to question. The idea with electronic communication with the dead was first put forward by Thomas Edison, in 1928 Edison began work on a machine for this purpose although his work was never completed. During the 1940s and 1950s, American photographer Attila Von Szalay and his assistant Raymond Bayliss where amongst the first to record this phenomena. Their work and findings were published in the Journal of the American Society Psychical Research in 1956. The first to heavily research these voices was Swedish scientist Friedrich Jurgenson whose pioneering work lead many to investigate the phenomena. Most famous of these was Latvian Scientist Konstantine Raudive who dedicated his entire life to its research and documentation. In Raudive's book, Breakthrough: an Amazing Experiment in Electronic Communication with the Dead, he describes the classification of EVP.

EVP classifcation...
One of the most important thing about EVP research is its classification, so please take the time to read the following information as it will give you insight to a better understanding of EVPs...
CLASS A : Class A is where the EVP is played once, requires little or no experience in the field and can be heard by everyone with normal hearing. They are clear and easy to understand. An EVP can be in another language so it would be good to having a understanding of the language being spoken. Class A EVPs are the least classed out of the three classes.
CLASS B : Class B is where the EVP takes a couple of times to understand what is being said. You may need slightly more experienced or a trained ear to listen to but can be heard with practice. Class B EVPs can be also be heard speaking fast or slow. Rule of thumb, if you have to listen twice it may be a Class B.
CLASS C : Class C is the most difficult to hear and it requires a trained ear to hear them. They are the most interesting of the three classes, often containing the most paranormal information. Class C EVPs often are only audible in whispers or partial speech and aren't ways easy to decipher taking several times to make out what it is saying.
ITC (INSTRUMENTAL TRANSCOMMUNICATION)
ITC is a method of communication that covers a broad spectrum of methods (of which EVP is also included). The equipment and methods are many but the term ITC in general covers a communication through any electronic device whether it being a radio, television, computer, fax machine and so on. The main benefit of ITC is that it is nearly always in real time and clearly audible, as opposed to EVP which is always recorded and can only ever be heard on playback of said recording (as at time of recording voices are inaudible to the human ear). The term ITC was first established in the early 1980s by researchers called the Harsch Fischbach group. Their ITC communication with an entity called the "Technician" across a frequency called the EuroSignal Bridge are still to this day astounding. Although this group was probably the most recognisable in the field there are many others including George Meek, Paul Jones, Hans Heckman (with their Spiricom Device), Klauss Schreiber had his method of video ITC known as the "Klauss Schreiber technique".
PLEASE NOTE: It is PI-UK's policy is not to use any filters to enhance or alter our EVPs or ITCs. Using any filters in fact alters the EVP which may result in false positives. We present them in the raw form as recorded. We also ask you to bear in mind that EVP, although a documented scientific phenomena, cannot be said to be with 100% certainty that the voices of the dead. As many other sources are possible including angels, demons, trans-dimensional beings or artificial intelligence.
